Are passports required? What do I need to enter and exit Costa Rica?
Yes, a passport is required. U.S. and Canadian residents do not need a visa for entrance into Costa Rica. Please consult your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements.
When will I receive more detailed information about our 360° Family Tour?
After you reserve your 360° Family Tour, you will receive a welcome package which includes a daily itinerary, detailed information about arrival and departure, a packing list, and an optional travel protection plan.
What vaccinations do you recommend?
We follow the guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control. The most up to date information can be viewed at www.cdc.gov. We recommend consulting your local physician.
How does my family get to our 360° Family Tour? How do we get to the airport at the trip's end?
In your welcome package, you will be given time parameters to arrive at Liberia International Airport. Your family will be greeted upon arrival and then transported to the Borinquen Mountain Resort and Spa. At the trip's end, your family will be transported back to the Liberia International Airport.
We offer transportation to and from San Jose, Costa Rica International Airport as well for an additional fee.
Can I extend my stay?
Absolutely! We will do our best to help accommodate requests for additional nights before or after the trip departure at the hotels where we stay.
Do you recommend travel insurance?
Yes. Information about the optional trip cancellation and interruption insurance will be forwarded to you upon enrollment.
What is the minimum age for travelers?
We would recommend all travelers be at least 4 years old. Good health and the ability to navigate uneven terrain is extremely important.
Can I participate in all of the activities?
This is a personal choice although certain activities including horseback riding, ATV riding and zip lining have age, height, and weight restrictions.
What is the food like?
Costa Rican food is excellent! Traditional North American food will be available as well as "comida tipica," the native Costa Rican cuisine featuring lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, seafood, chicken and meats.
Can you accommodate special diets?
Absolutely! We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, kosher style and other special dietary requests.
What is the bedding configuration in a hotel room?
Configurations vary in each hotel. Usually rooms can accommodate up to four people in two double beds. On very rare occasion, a king or queen bed is available with a roll away. We will do our best to accommodate requests for adjacent rooms. There are no adjoining rooms.
What is time line for payment/cancellation policy?
All reservations require a $100 deposit per person and can be paid via check, money order, or credit card. Deposits and all payments are non-refundable. The trip balance is due 90 days prior to departure. All cancellations must be made in writing. Optional trip cancellation insurance is available.
